This treat's worth a try.
A few months ago I purchased Friendly's Caramel Swirl ice cream and it's been sitting in my freezer ever since.
I finally decided to try it this weekend and I was happy with the purchase.
Initially I bought this ice cream because it was on sale at Big Y, it said "new" on the carton, which always piques my interest, and I like Friendly's caramel sauce.
The vanilla ice cream delivers as usual. I wouldn't say Friendly's makes a particularly delicious vanilla ice cream, but it's always good and I can appreciate that.
The caramel swirl is just like the caramel sauce you find in a Friendly's "Nuts Over Caramel" sundae. The swirl works perfectly here with just the right amount of gooeyness and sweetness to accent the vanilla ice cream.
Overall this was a nice treat with just the right amount of caramel in the mix. My only complaint is that it felt a little plain, like maybe it was missing some chocolate covered peanuts.
I give it three scoops. Definitely worth a try.
