HOLYOKE _ The Holyoke Congregation Sons of Zion, 378 Maple St., will host a reading by Jane Kaufman of "Our Stories: The Jews of Western Massachusetts," one of the recently published books in The Republican's Heritage Series, on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m.
Global concert
WESTFIELD – The Voices of the World Christmas Concert will be a free presentation at Westfield Evangelical Free Church, 568 Southwick Road, on Dec. 14 and 15 at 6 p.m.
Christmas concert
GREENFIELD – The Pioneer Consort will perform its fifth annual “New England Noel” concert at the All Souls Church on Main Street, on Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. A $10 donation is suggested.
Live nativity
WEST SPRINGFIELD – The West Springfield Covenant Community Church, 112 Amostown Road, presents its annual live nativity on Dec. 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. Non-perishable food items and donations will be collected for the Springfield Rescue Mission.
Dinner dance
AGAWAM – St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will have its annual dinner dance on Dec. 21 at Chez Josef, from 6 p.m. until midnight. Cost is $55 per person, and $100 for a couple. SPRINGFIELD – Canaan Baptist Church of Christ, 1430 Carew St., presents a Christmas bazaar Dec. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mary O. Pottenger Elementary School gymnasium, 1435 Carew St. Parking is in rear of the school.
Holiday concert
SHELBURNE FALLS – A concert of vocal and choral music will be presented by the Recital Chorus,on Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m., at Trinity Church. Donations (cash or check) will be received at the door to benefit the Hilltown Churches Food Pantry.
Live nativity
SPRINGFIELD – First Park Memorial Baptist Church, corner of Garfield Street and Forest Park Avenue, will present a living nativity on Dec. 22 at 10 a.m.
Christmas play
WILBRAHAM – Evangel Assembly, 348 Stony Hill Road, presents “Is It Christmas Yet?” on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. The play is free.
Carol festival
SOUTH HADLEY – St. Theresa Parish, 9 East Parkview Drive, presents a “Festival of Lessons and Carols” on Dec. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Special service
SPRINGFIELD – Foster Memorial Church and Tapestry Health are co-hosting “Light, Hope and Peace” on Dec. 15 at 3 p.m. at the church, 1791 Wilbraham Road. The service will include reflection, prayer and songs of the season.

EAST LONGMEADOW – The choir of East Longmeadow United Methodist Church, 215 Somers Road, will present an original contemporary cantata for Christmas, “Hope for the Lowly,” on Dec. 15 in worship at 10 a.m.

LONGMEADOW – First Church of Christ in Longmeadow, 763 Longmeadow St., will hold a Blue Christmas service, for those in need of healing and comfort, on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.

SUFFIELD – A community wide Blue Christmas service takes place on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Congregational, 81 High St. The service will include a time of remembrance. A reception will follow.
