Academic honors for local students.
• Katelyn Landry, of Agawam, was awarded a bachelor degree in athletic training at Plymouth, N.H., State University. Landry was also named to the president’s list for academic honors for the spring semester.
• Alexandra Lynch, of Westfield, was awarded a bachelor degree in art at Plymouth, N.H., State University.
• Lauren Weiner, of Agawam, was named to the spring dean’s list at Marist College.
• Area students awarded degrees at Siena College in Loudonville,N.Y., included Emma Ciborowski, of Westfield, who received a bachelor degree in biology, Elizabeth Gloster, of Agawam, who received a bachelor degree in psychology, Robert Mangini, of West Springfield, who received a bachelor degree in finance, and Cameron Paleologopoulos, of Agawam, who received a bachelor degree in political science.
• Boston University awarded academic degrees to 6,321 students in May; Westfield students who were among those awarded degrees included Stephanie A. Velis, bachelor degree, health science, Yaina M. Mercado, bachelor degree, mechanical engineering, and Yara H. Tayeh, master degree, public health in epidemiology.
• Stephanie A. Velis and Yevgeniy O. Temchenko, both of Westfield, were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Boston University.
• Christopher Hart, of Westfield, was named to the dean’s honor list for the spring semester at George Washington University.
• Leane Ruelle, of Westfield, a forensic biology major and member of the class of 2016, was named to the president’s list at Western New England University for the spring semester.
• Area students named to the spring dean’s list at Goodwin College in East Hartford, Conn., included: Marlene Aquino, of Agawam; Charles Rossi, of Agawam; Katlynn Sullivan, of Agawam; Kathryn Bresnahan, of West Springfield; Ruth Kuloba, of West Springfield; and Dominique Taylor, of West Springfield.
• Jay Poulin, of Westfield, was named to the spring dean’s list at Becker College in Worcester.
• Area students who were awarded enrichment scholarships at Keene, N.H, State College for high academic performance included Jennifer Riley, of Agawam, Meaghan Casey, of Agawam, Haley Monahan, of Southwick, Jordan Bein, of Westfield, Victoria Camp, of Westfield, Victoria Whalen, of Westfield, and John Dolan, of Westfield.
• Area students named to the spring dean’s list at Providence College include Caroline Foley, of Westfield, Kristen Jackowski, of West Springfield, Jordan Jacobson, of Westfield, and Melissa Sheil, of Southwick.
