Academic honors for local students.
• Meghan Boyle, a senior from Monson, was named to the Albright College dean’s list for the spring semester.
• Adam M. Herder, son of Alice Herder, of Wilbraham, was awarded his degree at New York Medical College’s 155th commencement in May. He will complete his residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He holds his bachelor degree from Tulane University.
• Area residents named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Salve Regina University included: Marissa Simpson, of Brimfield; Tessa Grassette, of Ludlow; Maeve Shaughnessy, of Greenfield; Alexander Antonopoulos, of Conway; and Megan Sullivan, of Sunderland.
• Fairfield University has announced its dean’s list for the spring semester. Area students recognized with the academic honor include: Jessica Wyszynski, of Wilbraham; Hannah Tanguay, of Hampden; Elizabeth Avery, of Hampden; and James Law, of Belchertown.
• Area residents who earned degrees from Stonehill College recently include: Timothy Culverhouse, of Palmer; Logan Laczynski, of Deerfield; Kadian McNeill, of Northampton; Hannah Michalak, of Hadley; and Griffin Sullivan, of Northampton.
• Saint Joseph’s University graduate Stacey Terlik, of Ludlow, who was recently awarded a bachelor degree in political science, has joined the Jesuit Volunteer Corps.
This year, 35 members of Saint Joseph’s Class of 2014 joined 14 local, national or international service programs that offer the opportunity to work full-time for social justice causes. Program placements include the Peace Corps, the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and the Alliance for Catholic Education at Saint Joseph’s University. Time commitments range from one-to-three years.
Terlik will work with St. Patrick Center in St. Louis, Mo.
• Erica Boileau, of Belchertown, is among the more than 1,480 students named to the University of Scranton dean’s list for the spring semester. She is a chemistry major who will enter her sophomore year at Scranton’s College of Arts and Sciences.
• Gina R. Santaniello, of Monson, was named to the president’s list at LIM College in New York City for the spring semester.
• Jolina-Rose R. Blier, of Montague, was named the outstanding full-time student in international business at Western New England University. Blier graduated cum laude with a bachelor degree in business administration.
• Haley Pelletier, of Holland, and Jonathan Wickman, of Westhampton, were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Dean College in Franklin.
• Area students award degrees at Boston University included: Cara M. Polom, of Wilbraham, bachelor, communication, magna cum laude; Anthony F. Bonzagni, of Wilbraham, master, medical science; Gabrielle K. Newton, of Wilbraham, bachelor, international relations also journalism; Joseph A. Lingenfelter, of Wilbraham, doctor, law, summa cum laude; Andrew E. Litowitz, of Wilbraham, master, computer information systems; Christina A. Stevens, of Ludlow, bachelor, biomedical engineering, magna cum laude; Austin J. Gates, of Ludlow, bachelor, electrical engineering; and Michaela A. Booth, of Pelham, bachelor, English, magna cum laude, also, bachelor, communication, summa cum laude;
• Two Wilbraham residents were named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the spring semester. Students recognized for this honor include: Lauren E. MacLellan; and Brooke K. Mele
• Four Ludlow residents were named to the dean’s list at Boston University for the spring semester. Students recognized for this honor include: Alyssa R. Fialho; Disha R. Patel; Christina A. Stevens; and Kathryn D. Vaz.
• Area students named to second honors on the Clark University dean’s list for the spring semester included: Kathleen Tease, of Greenfield; Liam Kelly Fleming, of Northampton; Olivia Cotton, of Northampton; Alyssa Adams, of Montague; Molly Kazin, of Wilbraham and Brendan Simons, of Wilbraham.
• The Mount Ida College spring dean’s list included the following honorees: Emily Bernotas, of Sunderland; Nicole Handzel, of Palmer; Jacob Hernandez, of Palmer; Caitlin Millett, of Greenfield; Emily Pacino, of Heath; and Brittany Willard, of Wilbraham.
• The following students were among the 182 graduates from the Loomis Chaffee Class of 2014:
Patrick (Pat) Dickert, of Hatfield, who was the recipient of the Founders Prize for academic achievement, and Science and English Department Honors. He served as a school Prefect and Resident Assistant. He was captain of the boys varsity basketball team, where he received the Most Valuable Player Award and named All-New England. He was also named a Founders League Varsity All-Star for the varsity cross country team, and served as manager of the boys varsity baseball team; and
B. Kieran Presley, of Northampton, who was a participant in varsity football, where he received the Erickson Award, New England Honors, and All–Eastern Conference. He also participated on the boys track and field team.
• The Endicott College dean’s list students for the spring semester included the following area residents: Keith Andrew Hunter, son of Andrew and Melanie Hunter, of Easthampton, a senior majoring in sport management; Katelyn Elizabeth Metzger, daughter of James and Deborah Metzger, of Monson, a senior majoring in athletic training; and Kimberly Beth Pavlovich, daughter of Joseph and Barbara Pavlovich, of Northampton, a junior majoring in English.

• Pomfret School, located in Pomfret, Conn., recently announced its honor roll for the spring term. The honored students included Alex Foley, of Deerfield, a member of the Pomfret class of 2016, Abbey Haggerty, of Southampton, a member of the Pomfret class of 2015, and Phoebe Pliakas-Smith, of Conway, a member of the Pomfret class of 2016.
• Matthew Parent, of Belchertown, and a member of the Pomfret School class of 2016, earned high honor roll distinction at Pomfret School for the spring term.
• Area residents awarded degrees by Roger Williams University included: Eric Figueredo, of Wilbraham, bachelor, architecture; Jonathan Pelloso, of Wilbraham, bachelor, computer science; Jacob Holmes, of Greenfield, bachelor, marine biology; Alexandra Messenger, of Wilbraham, bachelor, marketing; and Nicholas Curran, of Wilbraham, bachelor, philosophy.
